This series presents data on income, poverty, and health insurance coverage
in the United States based information collected in the Current Population
Survey Annual Social and Supplements (CPS ASEC) by the U.S. Census Bureau. These data are considered the official statistics on poverty.
Data are published annually in the Current Population Reports series P-60 Consumer Income. These reports have been published in varying forms since 1994. Tables provide demographic and socio-economic characteristics of people in poverty at national and regional levels of geography.
